New and Embryonic Business Models for Music

The project “MusicLessons” published a report outlining interesting insight into how new business models for distributing music are emerging.

They provides an overview of basic business models on the net. Some of the business models are quite well known, but others are related to P2P systems. The authors present a number of new emerging business models for P2P systems. Its interesting to see an European Commission funded project to focus on these issues. Yet, unfortunately, they have not done any case studies. This is, why you should stay tuned to what OpenBusiness is doing: we collect these business models and are starting to analyze them in the OpenBusiness Guide Wiki.
