Semantic Wikis

Almost all people have seen how fast collaborative free Wikis contents has grow up. The most evident prove is the wikipedia project.
The reasons are more, but two of these surely are: the easiest way to contribute and the sense of collaboration power editors feels.
So if this knowledge become machine processable, as an advanced use of syndication (RSS feeds and so on), web developers can build unexpected and more “intelligent” Web applications.
How to realize that ?
Using a formal and World accepted standards (IETF, W3c, ..) exporting gradually, and in a REST Full manner, descriptions of contents.
How for an organization to gain money ?
Simply to sell some kind value added KM systems that:
* grabs knowledge from the web
* smart manages/presents grabbed Knowledge
* Give a smart way to contribute to shared knowledge

One project, I’m contributing, that tray to realize a Semantic Wiki is PlatypusWiki (http://platypuswiki.sf.net/)
