FON: another great example of Open Business

FON Wireless is offering a way for people to share their bandwidth (up to 50% of what they have available) in exchange for the ability to access others wifi spots when they travel.
FON actually has several types of users:
- Linus: give your bandwidth in exchange for access
- Bill: get a cut of what FON charges to access your spot
- Alien: just pay to use the network

The model is a hybrid of good old capitalism and open source, but there is clearly a smell of peer-to-peer underlying that makes it feel good :-)
