Open Business Planning

Hi there,

After entering the second round of a business plan contest hold in Spain, we asked ourselves: ‘Our target business is Web 2.0 and open source. Why not take this a step further and make the business model planning stage open too?’ Paranoia dictates that this is the most stupid thing you could do. What if everybody copies your idea. In the end however, we took the more realistic view that most if not all web application ideas have been thought of before by somebody anyway.

So a couple of days ago, we created a public blog and a public wiki to record the learning experience and give people an idea as to what you have to go through when putting together a business plan. One note of caution though. We are not professional advisors on creating businesses, so take what you see/read with a pinch of salt. Otherwise, have fun and make use of whatever you need. All content is licensed under Creative Commons(except for third party material, which might be made available under a different license).
