Trusted Places blog series III

trusted.jpgFor todays post we asked Walid how TrustedPlaces finds users and keeps them involved. If you haven’t been keeping up with the discussion have a look at the two previous posts, 19 March and 20 March.

Trust is key for TrustedPlaces, which is why we made it part of our name! Our members trust TrustedPlaces as they know that as long as they write an honest review of a place that this review can be for praising a place or rubbishing it. We also spend a lot of time monitoring the community to ensure that merchants don’t try to trick our members by creating a regular profile instead of a merchant one.

Our members stay involved on TrustedPlaces for a mixture of these three reasons: (1) to record a kind of diary of all their favourite places, (2) share their knowledge with their friends, and (3) discover new cool and interesting places.

Further more we have developed a reward mechanism where members receive points for adding content onto TrustedPlaces and inviting their friends. Once they have reached enough points they will win an official TrustedPlaces t-shirt and also the TrustedPlaces Card (£69.95 value) that gives them access to 50% discount in up to 400 restaurants across London.

I was wondering how many points are needed to get a T-Shirt and Trusted Places Card? Or is this decided by the lottery?
