Sorry, but all Apple-Products are completely clösed.
There is nothing more open than Microsoft.
Everyone can develop Software for MS or Apple or Linux.
What the hack is there Open?
Thats a farce, i mean.

Seems to be a technical problem on the page. Here's what it should say.

The Hexayurt Project is an open source disaster and refugee housing initiative. It’s not a charity, what it does is design and teach building techniques which allow for the construction of large quantities of very cheap housing in emergencies. Right now several groups are considering using the Hexayurt in Haiti, from US Southern Command through to small religious groups. The openness of the approach allows for incredibly diverse collaboration.

[...] A month into the competition and there are a varied mixture of organizations and platforms nominated. Major telecommunications companies like BT, Nokia and Orange are nominated for their open innovation approach. Collaboratively made films like Faintheart, and El Cosmonauta as well as a Creative Commons based film production company, Riot Cinema Collective are also nominated. Household name web startups like Firefox, Twitter, Flickr, Google, Ebay and Facebook have been put forward as well as the smaller but equally important web services that focus on the environment like Akvo and Pachube.
