Who we are

OpenBusiness.cc is a small and flexible team of highly experienced project managers and consultants working with start ups and big companies alike.

Core team:

Christian Ahlert
Christian has been on the interweb since 1994 and combines creative thinking, with an entrepreneurial spirit. His biggest skill is that he gets things done.

He has worked with a wide range of clients ranging from Channel 4, Nesta, to web 2.0 start ups, Arts Council England for whom he either develops digital strategies, or manages everything from business development to the creation of communities and events.

Previously he was part of management team of award winning web start up eCourier.co.uk, where he was instrumental in raising investment from internet legend Esther Dyson and shaping its brand.

He sits on the board of Social Innovation Camp and he is the choreographer behind MiniBar – London’s biggest community of web entrepreneurs and developers.

He also loves good food, this is why he co-founded YumShare.co.uk

Simon Worthington


As the director of OpenMute Simon runs a print-on-demand (POD) book publishing network and experimental distribution service, based on the mini-manifesto ‘Ceci nest pas un Magazine’ participatory publishing and sustainable economics. He studied at the Slade, UCL and CalArts (California). Co-founder of the cyberculture magazine Mute, which recently (Sept 2009) published its fifteen year anthology, ‘Proud to be Flesh’. As co-director of the Mute organisation he has been involved in a vast number of projects, including initiating and managing the building of a Drupal system to automate over a thousand web sites, called OmWeb back in 2002 and organising a UK nationwide tour of presentation and workshops of Open Source pioneers called UserLand.We rock the party
